Hardy Sattler is a distinguished Titled APA Sports Physiotherapist and Honorary Adjunct Assistant Professor at Bond University. Hardy served as a Consultant Sports Physiotherapist for the Gold Coast Titans NRL from 2007-2017 and Physiotherapist for the Gold Coast Suns AFL from 2009 - 2012. Hardy has been the Vice President of Sports Medicine Australia and has worked as a Sports Physiotherapist for many national, state and local teams, with extensive international touring experience to several World Championships with the Australian Baseball Team. Hardy possesses over 20 years of Private Practice experience and is a current Director of Pindara Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine, Bond Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine and Palm Beach Physio and Sports Rehab.

Dr Darryn Marks is an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 25 years of clinical experience. He is highly qualified and experienced in the treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal and sports injuries.

Darryn is an Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy at Bond University, where he teaches and conducts research into musculoskeletal disorders. He has published research in areas of shoulder pain, health economics, back pain and presented at conferences in Australia and overseas. Darryn also has years of experience in teaching medical and physiotherapy students at Griffith University, also doctors and physiotherapists.

Yasu Maki

Physiotherapist Strength and Conditioning Coach

Yasu is a highly trained physiotherapist with experience working in professional and international level sport. He has extensive understanding of injury assessment, management and rehabilitation, and is qualified in both Strength & Conditioning and Physiotherapy.

He previously played collegiate baseball in America and played in multiple Australian Youth Baseball teams prior to completing his Bachelor of Exercise Science degree at Griffith University on the Gold Coast.

He has assisted many people recover from injury and understands what it takes for someone to return to their best. He has extensive experience clinically, has attended numerous professional development courses in his career, and has extensive knowledge of what it takes to successfully achieve the outcomes that patients require.

Adrian Kan

Knee Pain and Injury Post Surgical Rehabilitation

Sports Physiotherapy

Adrian Kan, a Physiotherapist with a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree and a BSC (Hons) in Sport & Exercise Science, has a special interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, particularly knee osteoarthritis. Born in Hong Kong, Adrian gained valuable knowledge working with the Hong Kong National Rugby Team and the Gold Coast District Representative Rugby Team.   Additionally, Adrian actively contributes to research projects, and teaches at Bond University, while collaborating with Gold Coast Knee Group in assisting athletes with knee injuries.

Tom Ford

Physiotherapist

Tom is a passionate physiotherapist with a genuine interest in musculoskeletal and persistent pain presentations. Tom has previous experience working as an accredited exercise physiologist and has a strong interest in empowering others through education and graded exercise therapy. Outside of clinical work, Tom very much enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle.

Jarryd Brown

Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist Shoulder and Upper Limb Conditions

Jarryd is a Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with extensive experience managing a wide variety of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and sports-related conditions. He has held a Senior Physiotherapist role within a tertiary level Interdisciplinary Persistent Pain Service involving multidisciplinary management of complex persistent pain conditions. Jarryd has been published in the field of persistent pain and telehealth and continues to be involved with research exploring the management of lower back pain in the public hospital system. Jarryd currently holds a position as Senior Physiotherapist within a multidisciplinary team helping people manage complex musculoskeletal pain conditions that have been referred to the Gold Coast Hospital Neurosurgical and Orthopaedic Outpatient Department. He also has extensive experience in post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation, including hand therapy.

Ben Lin

Physiotherapist Shoulder and Upper Limb Conditions

Ben completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology in Vancouver, Canada prior to pursuing Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University.

Having a strong interest in strength and conditioning as well as sports, Ben gained valuable experience working in the Canadian collegiate system with Ice Hockey and Football teams. He has developed a deepened understanding of injury rehabilitation and prevention through closely working with high-level athletes.

Ben’s approach is centered around building one’s resilience, mobility, and freedom to express movement patterns. He is dedicated to helping you to find joy and confidence in returning to your activity. Ben also has a special interest in vestibular-related conditions (vertigo).

Graham Marvin

Physiotherapist Shoulder and Upper Limb Conditions

Graham started as a strength and conditioning coach working with various collegiate and professional athletes. He spends his time working between Pindara, Runaway Bay, and is the Bond University Netball Physio. He is currently working on his PhD to help manage fatigue in firefighters and paramedics.

Natalie Barton

Remedial Massage Therapist

Natalie has been massaging for 8 years and is passionate about remedial and sports massage, and the benefits it provides for clients. Natalie tailors her treatment to the client, understanding that everybody is different and has their individual requirements. Natalie has extensive experience working with a variety of clients including Olympic athletes, tradies and new Mums in need of relaxation. Natalie has also worked with multiple sporting teams including the Gold Coast Titans, Western Bulldogs, Melbourne Storm, Richmond Tigers, Canberra Raiders and the Penrith Panthers. Natalie’s treatments involve a range of techniques to assist with pain management, improving mobility or injury rehabilitation. In addition to soft tissue work, Natalie also offers dry needling, cupping, stretching, myofascial release, joint mobilisation and trigger point therapy. Natalie will work with you to find the best treatment options to address your goals.
