Richard Newton is a Titled APA Sports Physiotherapist and Assistant Professor at Bond University and the founder of Pindara Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine.

Richard has a special interest in a wide variety of complex conditions, sports related injury, spinal conditions and everything from running mechanics, to frozen shoulder, to trouble shooting post joint replacement, and chronic tendon issues. Richard has a high level diagnostic and advanced clinical reasoning skillset and coming up to 40 years experience as a Physiotherapist. Richards has wide ranging experience in elite sport (AFL, NBL, QAFL, and a multitude of individual athletes from Motor Racing, Dance, Swimming, Triathlon, Cycling, Golf, Cricket and a host of others) to community/recreational athletes to the everyday person wanting to recover from injury and reduce pain, keep active and improve their health profile.

Hardy Sattler

Hardy Sattler is a distinguished Titled APA Sports Physiotherapist and Honorary Adjunct Assistant Professor at Bond University. Hardy served as a Consultant Sports Physiotherapist for the Gold Coast Titans NRL from 2007-2017 and Physiotherapist for the Gold Coast Suns AFL from 2009 - 2012. Hardy has been the Vice President of Sports Medicine Australia and has worked as a Sports Physiotherapist for many national, state and local teams, with extensive international touring experience to several World Championships with the Australian Baseball Team. Hardy possesses over 20 years of Private Practice experience and is a current Director of Pindara Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine, Bond Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine and Palm Beach Physio and Sports Rehab.

Dr Darryn Marks

Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist Post-Surgical Rehabilitation Hydrotherapy Paediatrics and Adolescents

Dr Darryn Marks is an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 25 years of clinical experience. He is highly qualified and experienced in the treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal and sports injuries.

Darryn is an Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy at Bond University, where he teaches and conducts research into musculoskeletal disorders. He has published research in areas of shoulder pain, health economics, back pain and presented at conferences in Australia and overseas. Darryn also has years of experience in teaching medical and physiotherapy students at Griffith University, also doctors and physiotherapists.

Tom Ford

Physiotherapist

Tom is a passionate musculoskeletal physiotherapist with strong clinical interest spanning the foot and ankle, knee, spine and shoulder.

He works closely with Orthopaedic Specialists, General Practitioners and Allied Health professionals, and remains committed to delivering high-quality patient-centred healthcare.

With a background as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Tom has a strong interest in empowering others through education and graded movement therapy.

Tom also currently holds a sessional Senior Teaching Fellow position at Bond University where he teaches within the Doctor of Physiotherapy program.

Outside of clinical practice, Tom very much enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle.

Ben Lin

Physiotherapist Shoulder and Upper Limb Conditions

Ben completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology in Vancouver, Canada prior to pursuing Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University.

Having a strong interest in strength and conditioning as well as sports, Ben gained valuable experience working in the Canadian collegiate system with Ice Hockey and Football teams. He has developed a deepened understanding of injury rehabilitation and prevention through closely working with high-level athletes.

Ben’s approach is centered around building one’s resilience, mobility, and freedom to express movement patterns. He is dedicated to helping you to find joy and confidence in returning to your activity. Ben also has a special interest in vestibular-related conditions (vertigo).

Graham Marvin

Physiotherapist Shoulder and Upper Limb Conditions

Graham started as a strength and conditioning coach working with various collegiate and professional athletes. He spends his time working between Pindara, Runaway Bay, and is the Bond University Netball Physio. He is currently working on his PhD to help manage fatigue in firefighters and paramedics.

Kellie Nalder

Physiotherapist

With 23 years of clinical experience as a physiotherapist, Kellie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. She has worked across both the public healthcare system and private practice, in Australia and the UK, further expanding her skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Her extensive experience allows her to work with a diverse range of clients.

Kellie is dedicated to delivering evidence-based and personalised treatment, ensuring each client achieves their optimal health goals.

Robell Mekonen

Physiotherapist

Robell Mekonen is a physiotherapist, originally from Vancouver, Canada who completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia before pursuing his Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University. Before moving to the Gold Coast, Robell gained experience in training and working with athletes in Canada more specifically with ice hockey and soccer athletes. His special interest lies in musculoskeletal conditions and sports-related injuries and is very passionate about working with athletes and people of all ages. Additionally, he is also working with the Gold Coast Knee Group in rehabilitating clients with knee injuries to return to sport.

Matt Castro

Physiotherapist

Matt is a Physiotherapist with a background in Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor and a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree from Bond University. Born and raised in Canada, Matt grew up playing competitive ice hockey and baseball, which sparked his interest in human performance and injury rehabilitation. He is currently completing an internship with the Gold Coast Knee Group and works as a Research Assistant at Bond University, where he has contributed to several projects on ACL reconstruction. Matt's clinical approach is grounded in commitment to delivering individualised patient care through continuous learning and strong therapeutic relationships.
