Dry Needling

Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) is an effective technique for relieving pain caused by trigger points or "taut bands" and "knots" in muscles which can contribute to long term pain and muscle dysfunction.

A very fine solid filament needle is inserted into the trigger point causing relaxation of tight muscles, decreased pain, improved blood flow and stimulation of healing. TDN can be used in many areas of the body and can help promote healing of acute and chronic injuries.

When used in conjunction with your exercise program and home routine, TDN can get you back to your sport or activity quickly. Ask your Physiotherapist on your next visit if you feel Dry Needling may help you.
