ABOUT MADELEINE:

Madeleine has a special interest in Women's Health Physiotherapy and Incontinence. Trained by the highly regarded Women's Health Training Associates (WHTA), Madeleine naturally developed an interest in this area of Physiotherapy after having her own 2 beautiful children. Some of the conditions she treats include incontinence, pregnancy related conditions, mastitis, pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse and postnatal return to sport and exercise. Madeleine also enjoys treating a variety of sports and musculoskeletal conditions and she has a wide range of physiotherapy experience owing to her previous work on various wards and areas in the hospital setting.

Madeleine has an interesting background, having competed as a sponsored professional surfer for over 15years, firstly around Australia in the National Junior surfing series, then onto the World Qualifying Series (WQS), achieving some excellent results and a fantastic lifestyle. The WQS saw her surfing waves in various locations around the world, including South Africa, USA, France, Spain, Portugal and Indonesia. Wanting to focus more on helping others, Madeleine moved to Indonesia to help set up a youth and community centre for the local Balinese people, providing first aid assistance, counseling, support and youth programs. Whilst continuing to pursue her own surfing achievements, Madeleine was instrumental in the training and development of the Indonesian Surfing Series, and was the President of the Bukit Boardriders Club and the Ripcurl Indonesian Surfing team manager. On return to Australia, Madeleine became the head coach of the Female Australian Surfing Team at Casuarina's HPC (High Performance Centre). It was a combination of her experience in and love of sport, as with a desire to be able to help others achieve their sporting goals, which lead her to complete a Master of Physiotherapy.
